- Commit the prospect's name and hometown to memory [remembering name is huge].
- Be confident.
- Keep the prospect engaged in conversation with topics that interest him.
- Ask about interests.
- Ask about classes.
- Ask for Reason for coming to your college/university.
- Ask what they’re looking for in a fraternity.
- Talk about DKE history/famous alumni.
- Tell of current DKE activities.
- Tell of your personal DKE experiences.
- Tell why you like DKE.
- Give a tour of the house.
- Introduce the prospect to other brothers, especially those with similar interests.
- Have a normal conversation.
- Ask girls to direct highly qualified prospects to your chapter.
- Get phone number personally if you like the prospect.
- Invite the prospect over to the house at a later date.
- Find out from local newspapers and high schools what prospects will be attending your college or university from your high school.
- Be yourself; people like honesty.
