On 4th of July weekend in 2009, Brother Chase Treadway, Chi '08, was severely injured in an accident. Chase has endured numerous surgeries and has a long, but very hopeful road to recovery. His spinal injuries and paralysis require him to remain in a wheelchair.

On February 22, 2010, the DKE Alumni Association of College Station that was organized to help DKE International start a colony at Texas A&M University, will be hosting a benefit. The purpose of the benefit is to help Chase and his family with the expenses not covered by insurance.

All donations made in person or through the DKE website will be donated directly to Chase!
