Dear Lambda Alumni,

Last weekend DKE's young and old reunited in the west wing for the 1st annual DKE alumni weekend. A good time was had by all, as the weekend featured a reception in the west wing lounge, alumni association meeting, golf at Apple Valley GC, and a semi-formal steak dinner in alumni lounge of Pierce Hall (see attachment for pictures.) The weekend was highlighted by the presence of Kenyon oldest living alumni, John Bingham '37. The actives and alumni alike benefited from Mr. Bingham's exceptional knowledge of the fraternity and spirit of DKE.

Twenty five alumni returned to Kenyon, not only to strengthen the bonds, but also to form an alumni association. In a lengthy meeting which included all present alumni and four actives, the alumni association's charter was approved and officers were elected to the alumni council. James Reinhardt '02 was elected president, Dave Sibley '06 was elected vice-president, Bob Heasley '61 treasurer, and Gregg Desilvio '74 secretary. The alumni association will be working to reconnect alumni and improve the infrastructure of the alumni association and chapter. The four alumni council members will work in conjunction with fundraising committee chair, Walter Butler '68, to improve Lambda's endowment. It is with great anticipation and hopes that the newly formed alumni association embarks upon it's task to strengthen Lambda DKE.

In the week preceding alumni weekend, the actives participated in the 2nd annual Greek Week competition. The actives dominated in impressive fashion for the second straight year and captured the Greek Week Cup. The Greek Week Competition entailed competition in three main categories, the academe, community services, and Greek events such as the water pong tournament and pie eating contest. The actives competed honorably in all of the events and when the points were totaled, DKE reigned victorious for a second consecutive year. I would like to say a special thanks to all the alumni who returned to Kenyon to strengthen Lambda. The consensus among the present alumni was to make the first weekend of October, the annual Lambda alumni reunion weekend. I hope this letter finds all you well and continuing the spirit of DKE,

Sincerely,

Nathaniel Fairbanks Gray
