Charles R. "Ricky" Albright, a local attorney and resident of Baton Rouge for many years, passed away in his sleep Monday afternoon, July 13, 2009. Rick was a native of Shreveport, Louisiana and was initiated into Zeta Zeta Chapter of DKE at Louisiana State University on March 6, 1966. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2009, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Visitation is from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. with a Catholic Prayer service following at 2:00 P.M.
A retired lawyer for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development with 28 years of service, he died Monday, July 13, 2009, at his residence in Baton Rouge. He was 61 and a native of Shreveport. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Friday, July 17, from 11 a.m. until memorial service at 2 p.m., conducted by Deacon Pete Walsh. Survived by his wife, Laura E. Doland Albright; daughter, Mary Alison Albright; sons, Preston Bennett Albright and wife Mahgan, and Charles Richard "Trey" Albright III; sister, Connie Albright; grandson, Lucas Albright; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and Bolero and the kitties. Preceded in death by his father, Lt. Col. Charles Richard "Dick" Albright; and mother, Mary Emma Albright. He graduated from LSU in 1970, LSU Law School in 1974, and in 1969 served as president of the Zeta Zeta Chapter of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity.
