Michael Peters | Delta Delta, University of Chicago '90 | Treasurer |Member at Large
Michael Peters is a commercial real estate and technology entrepreneur based in Cleveland. He is currently working with several young investment ventures and leads a technology start-up focused on the commercial real estate industry.
Prior to his current ventures, Michael worked in commercial and investment banking for 20 years, including senior positions with Citibank and Wells Fargo. His most recent assignment was for Wells Fargo's commercial real estate investment banking group (Eastdil Secured) as Managing Director for Europe and the Middle East based out of London. He has also worked for financial institutions in Chicago and Columbus, Ohio.
Michael also has a long history of leadership and volunteer involvement with The University of Chicago. He currently serves as a vice president for The University of Chicago Alumni Board of Governors and was the past chair of the Nominating and Membership Committee. He served as the chair of the Chicago Society in London (and currently sits on the New York City committee) and was president of the Alumni Club of New York City. As a student at The University of Chicago he was a co-founder and the first president of the Delta Delta Chapter of Delta Kappa Epsilon and continues to serve on its alumni board. Michael was also awarded the Young Alumni Service Citation for his work with the University.
In addition to his undergraduate degree from The University of Chicago, Michael holds a masters degree from New York University. He has also served as an adjunct instructor at NYU.
