Delta Phi of DKE

DKE's northern-most chapter

was chartered December 30,

1932, at the University of

Alberta, in Edmonton,

Alberta, Canada. 

The fourth fraternity 

established on campus,

DKE's Delta Phi chapter

began after the University of

Alberta lifted its ban on

secret societies in

1929.  Local fraternities

formed, including one

calling itself Phi Alpha

Fraternity.  

In 1932, 25 men from this

group petitioned DKE to

form a chapter, and DKE's

Delta Phi chapter was

chartered.  Since that time,

Delta Phi has initiated more

than 1,000 brothers.
